BitMEX, a leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, will transition its data center operations from AWS Dublin to AWS Tokyo on August 23, 2025. The migration is scheduled during a 12-hour window (02:00–14:00 UTC) to optimize market-making efficiency and liquidity for perpetual and futures contracts.

This strategic MOVE capitalizes on Tokyo's low-latency infrastructure to boost execution speeds for Asia-Pacific traders. BitMEX engineers project significant improvements in order book depth, particularly for BTC and ETH perpetual swaps, post-migration.
